An auction house is closing down. The last item is a cracked vase worth nothing. Ads for the vase ran in the newspapers for a whole month. A man in the third row bids it up to the highest price that room has ever heard. Then police arrest him at the payment desk, before he can pay. The auctioneer will not get a penny of it. He is the happiest man in the building.
